Notes from the captain...

LMRA Vets competiton

Shot on Saturday morning 2nd May, beautiful weather, looks like we are getting lucky this year.... Famous last works bet it rains for the next one!
We had 2 teams out and really good to see more of you out there, please remember do not be afraid to come forwardand shoot if you can, I am happy to enter more teams for these shoots and it would be great to see as many of you shoot as possible this year.

So the result.

1st - OERC "A"

Well done to all those who shot on Saturday. That is 3 from 3 so far!!

The Malvern Cup

The combined OERC and Epsom College team won a shoulder to shouler match with Bradfield + Old Boys team. OE's taking part were Andrew and James Lothian and Harry Ball. Apologies I do not have the scores available. But a successful start to the year.
Thanks to all the Old Epsomians who gave up their Easter weekend to assist the college training camp, it was grat to see so many of us it was almost one to one coaching and I think we can safely say all the team learnt something.

The Surrey Knock Out

Last Sunday morning a clear and bright morning for our first Surrey club shoot of the year (hopefully a sign of weather to come...) two teams of OE's competed and both won through their 1st round comfortably against Wandsworth teams meeting then in the Semi Final. The A team in the shape of Andrew Lothian, Paul Kent and Dave Rose beat our B team of Dudley Rees, Chris Smith and Matt Millar. Through to the final again against Wandsworth and a very tightly fought contest came down to the narrowest of margins 1 v-bull. OE's 104.14 Wandsworth 104.13!!
A winning start to the year then! I am looking forward to seeing many of you at Bisley over the coming months.
